COCAS and ME Living partner with courts, prosecutors, defense counsel, probation/parole, and community providers to support survivors and justice-involved clients with trauma-informed services, navigation, and advocacy.
🔍 Position Overview
The Court Liaison & Support Coordinator ensures smooth communication between clients, clinicians, and the justice system. You’ll coordinate court dates, provide accompaniment, assist with documentation and protective orders, and keep teams updated so clients stay safe, compliant, and on track.
🎯 Responsibilities

Schedule and confirm court appearances; manage reminders and transportation coordination

Provide court accompaniment and trauma-informed support at hearings

Assist with TPO/protective order paperwork and filings; track outcomes and return dates
-
Gather/organize case documentation (letters, treatment verification, progress summaries)

Liaise with prosecutors, public defenders, probation/parole, and victim/witness units
-
Maintain timely, accurate notes (HIPAA) and release-of-information compliance
-
Monitor conditions (classes, therapy, community service, restitution) and report status
-
Contribute to monthly metrics, audits, and continuous quality improvement
✅ Qualifications
-
AA/BA/BS in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or related—or equivalent experience
-
2+ years in court-based advocacy, victim services, reentry, or case coordination
-
Clear, professional communication with legal partners; strong organization and boundaries
-
Familiarity with protective orders, mandated reporting limits, and confidentiality
🌟 Preferred Skills
-
Experience with DV/SA courts, problem-solving/mental health courts, or reentry dockets
-
Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, or ASL)
-
Valid driver’s license for courthouse and field visits
