COCAS and ME Living provide trauma-informed housing, behavioral health, reentry, and victim services across GA & CA. We help clients secure safe, stable housing and sustain it long term.
🔍 Position Overview
The Housing and Relocation Specialist navigates clients through housing search, placement, and stabilization. You’ll build landlord relationships, complete applications and inspections, coordinate move-ins, and deliver tenancy supports that reduce returns to homelessness.
🎯 Responsibilities

Complete housing intakes and individualized housing stability plans

Conduct unit searches, schedule viewings, and assist with applications & documentation

Coordinate inspections (HQS/HQS-like), deposits, utilities, and move-in logistics
-
Maintain landlord/partner network; negotiate accommodations and resolve issues

Link clients to rental assistance, furniture, and SDOH supports; teach tenant rights & responsibilities

Provide post-placement coaching (rent budgeting, upkeep, neighbor relations)

Track placements, retention, and returns; document timely SOAP/progress notes (HIPAA)

Collaborate with case managers, employment, and benefits teams; support audits
✅ Qualifications
-
AA/BA/BS in Human Services, Social Work, or related—or equivalent housing experience

Knowledge of local housing resources, fair housing, and basic landlord-tenant laws
-
Strong outreach, documentation, and problem-solving skills; reliable transportation

Comfortable with EHR/CRM, spreadsheets, and checklists
🌟 Preferred Skills
-
Experience with voucher programs (e.g., HCV, CoC, ESG), RRH/PSH, or DV rehousing
-
Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, or ASL)
